DEEC is a local control surface app. It connects your iPhone or iPad to your Mac over your local Wi-Fi network. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
DEEC does not collect any data. Specifically:
DEEC communicates exclusively over your local Wi-Fi network using a direct WebSocket connection between the iOS app and the macOS companion app. No data leaves your network. The connection is authenticated using a short PIN displayed on the companion app.
The companion app stores a local record of paired device names and authentication tokens on your Mac. This data is stored locally and never transmitted. You can remove any device from the companion app at any time.
Your button layouts, configurations, and preferences are stored locally on your Mac. They are synced directly to your iOS device over the local network connection. No layout data is uploaded to any cloud service.
DEEC does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.
DEEC does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
